Prayer is a movement
“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow’ (Isaiah 1:17)
The fight against the bondage and injustice of abuse is a spiritual one. We believe God has called us to fulfill His commandment to stand up for the abused (Psalm 82:2-4), and we believe through prayer, lives will be changed, captives will be set free and God will be glorified.
We are praying without ceasing for the abused in every home and in every country. Join us in the movement of prayer for the abused. Your voice, your compassion and your prayers are needed.
God, we intercede on behalf of those who are suffering in bondage and being destroyed by abuse throughout the world. Surround them with your favor as with a shield. Send them compassionate hearts and wise counsel to comfort their mind and soul. Guide their footsteps and lead them into green pastures. Give them the strength to hold on to your unchanging hands, open doors that no man can close, bless their coming in and their going out, and use their story for your glory. Restore the years that the swarming locusts have eaten and may their latter days be greater than their former. Raise up a remnant with the compassion and the passion to seek justice and to set the captives free. We give you all the glory and the honor and the praise, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
